A Cebuana globe trotter , gourmand and chef following her…
I had always been fascinated about the underwater world. I may have a terrible hydrophobia [fear of the water], but I made it a point to try aqua adventures even once. When I was still in the Philippines, mainly in Cebu, I had been exposed to outdoor adventures that happen in the rich underwater paradise of the Queen City of the South.
I had learned to somehow be in the comfort of the underwater. I’ve tried to learn scuba dive and enjoy the jewels under the sea and then yearned for it more. It is an eye opener for me actually. I saw how the underwater world is being threatened with climate change, unlawful poaching of corals and marine life, ocean acidification and others. It is a long fight, but, I realised that it will take more than grit and grace to rise above the challenge for caring about our underwater world.
When I arrived here in the UK, I still fascinated to visit aquariums and places that will remind me of my advocacy to protect the oceans. And true enough, I was able to visit The Deep at Kingston Upon Hull, a place where marine conservation is the name of the game. And true enough, they have a lovely restaurant that is overlooking the coast [though at the moment, they are temporarily closed due to COVID19]. 🙂 Check it out here.
So, when my good friend Robby Alugar, President & Founder of RMA News, had informed me that Cebu Ocean Park & Events Center is holding a Valentine Dinner under the ocean, boy, I was glad and wished I was in Cebu to experience THIS! Read below on their offers.

That was super sweet and aquamancy! I would love to try dating underwater and experience those savory foods once in a lifetime.
This is so cool. I haven’t been out on a “date” in a while now hahaha pero I’d love to take the kids to Ocean Park once they allow the little ones to go in na.
If you were here, who would you invite for a meal “under the sea”? Happy Valentine’s, JL!
I am delighted to learn this… I have a dinner date with two of my BFFs this Feb. 20. It supposed to be this 14th, but we’re all taken – taken for granted. HAHAHA this is really quite good to consider next time for a dinner date in the love month.
I am still here in Cebu and I didn’t know about this! Although I would be going out with my bestfriend, I would surely want to try this underwater dining experience. And you say they serve caviar? Wow!
